In the monastery of St. Martin, the arboretum and herb garden are located at the interface between the Abbey and the world. The talk also invites the visiting public to focus on the unique but endangered treasure that has been preserved and cared for by the monastery's monks and staff since the first half of the 19th century. As well as inviting you to discover the medicinal properties, cultural significance of the herb garden's flagship plants.

The Year of the Garden also invites the monastic community, the monastery's staff, friends, visitors and the wider visiting public to focus on the unique but endangered treasure that has been preserved and cared for by the monastery's monks and staff since the first half of the 19th century. As well as inviting them to discover the healing powers, cultural significance and gastronomic-culinary potential of the herb garden's flagship plants.
